Can you remove the battery and use it via mains power as a temporary measure ?
Obviously switch it off. Then remove the battery then plug in the mains

Wouldn’t say battery is easily removable, and it is on mains power when it crashes!

It could be the battery causing it to crash.

As above, remove the battery and then plug it into the mains and see if it is more stable. If so, this means the battery is knackered.

Alternatively, try it with a different mains connector, as they can often fail.

Send it back.

Same thing happened to me, 23 months in battery failed. Amazon gave me a full refund no questions asked.

You can just buy a replacement battery, either OEM or from 3rd parties.

Thanks, it is about 7 years old and replaced the HD a year ago and the screen is delaminating, so I think it is time for a new one!

Maybe just give the contacts on the battery a bit of a clean up with wire wool if possible?
