Seems I've encountered a glitch with MS Teams. If I wish to screen share during a meeting, I can only select screens that were open at the start of that meeting. If I open a new window or document, I cannot select it as it doesn't appear as an option. To work around I have to leave the meeting and re-enter it.

I'm pretty sure this is a new bug as I was using Teams for months up until September-ish and have jut started using it again now. I don't recall ever having this problem.

Anyone else seen this and more importantly what's the fix?

I've seen it and as a workaround I tend to share entire screens, and just put the document I want to share on that screen.

Not aware of a fix, although now I wonder if it was introduced when they allowed meetings to run in a separate window? You can turn that off in settings and see if the old behaviour returns.

Same here I usually share a screen as it is just easier as I tend to have a need to share more than one thing so can flick what I need on and off the screen without having to faff with changing the sharing regime. I just tested and confirmed the behaviour the OP has just mentioned, I will have a chat with a colleague who runs a large number of Teams engagements and see if he knows of anything...

Ditto, I operate a 3 screen system and I just drag docs into the 'displayed' screen as and when needed

It sounds like you're selecting an application to share rather than your screen, if you select the entire screen when starting the screen share, then you can flick between what you want to share as you please as long as it's within the shared screen display.

As said, I find Teams is only happy if you share a full screen rather then one individual program which always seems to throw up issues

Cheers all. At least I'm not alone. It seems I'll have to do full screen share.
