Car washing info

With the lockdown I’ve decided to wash my own car!

I’ve been looking at various items but I’ve decided on this 3 parter; broadly pre wash, wash and a post wash seal.

In order for it to work I need some form of lance and I’ve seen this

Does that just plug on my pressure washer (which I picked up from Lidl many moons ago)?

Finally; what does one use to a) clean the car (it’s was big yellow sponges back in the day) and b) what do use you use to dry a car (chamois or those silicon blades, though I’m not a fan).

If the flow rate lpm of your washer matches the foam gun it will work, but the fitting on that foam bottle will be different from your washer

You will get a hundred different answers as to washing and drying.
Personally I use the cheap Kent noodle wash mitts and the Autoglym aqua dry cloth.
Some comment that a chamois type product will scratch the paint and strip protection but I’ve not really experienced any negative effects.
I do have a drying towel but I’ve tried it and I’m not really a fan.

I prefer the noodle sponge (which is basically the same as a noodle mitt wrapped around a sponge), as you can load it up with more water per dunk in the bucket.

Look up ‘the two bucket method’ for washing the car while not damaging the paint.
And if you have access to a silicone blade, bin it.
