Gentian Blue GT4

Had a photo taken of my Gentian blue GT4.

Thought it turned out really well..

It does indeed. Thought I was leaning towards Python but gentian is very nice, and I like that it looks much more purple in some lights than others.

Amazed at how few people have gone for Python...well I haven’t seen many at least. Given it’s basically Viper Green which is an all time classic colour.

I find Python a bit dark. Viper seems a bit brighter? A bit like Carmine vs Guards but to a lesser extent.

I am sure it is a different shade...lazy comment form me. It’s similar though. Maybe it’s more like Porsche Green or one of the others that are similar. Anyway...if I was getting one I would have been very tempted. A colour like this hasn’t been available as a standard colour on any Porsche for a long time. 997.1 GT3 RS I guess and before that who knows!

Was only added as a colour to order fairly recently I think.

Lovely photo of Gentian, OP. It really does have so many shades and hues to it. It was actually on my shortlist, came a very close second to Racing Yellow.

It’s close enough and looks amazing in real life.

If anything I like python more than viper, it has a bit more pop.
I am shocked it seems a rare Choice but I have a theory, :-)

Not sure it's the same, I was clearly talking about my experience of my car. You seem to post links to your car in YouTube videos as if it isn't yours.

Very very nice ... you may nee to be careful of paint swirls ... blue used to be a soft colour ??

Your photo looks really nice. Colours are such a personal choice, For me Gentian seemed a bit dark a lot of the time - especially up here in Scotland where the sun seldom shines!

Likewise Python was out for me, living near Glasgow having a bright green car ain’t a good idea (think football!) and parking same in certain locations could well lead to a brick through the windscreen

Looks great, nearly picked Gentian Blue myself but have an M4 in San Marino Blue so went for standard White, it left Germany last week so should not be long.

It looks like you have a stick on plate? i have a number plate to put on, 3 letter and a single number, does the front bumper have pre drilled holes for the Plinth?
