Hi all

Hope everyone is well whilst the world is spinning down the bog.

Personally my on world is spinning into a world of arguements....and hence me winning fk all as most men find when arguing with the Mrs. We're in a new place - bigger lounge and so we need a new TV....although Mrs CHR would say we don't because our current Model, a 10 year old Panasonic Vierra 47 inch, hasn't broken - therefore doesn't need replaced !!!!

Our sofa (when it arrives) will be 12ft from the wall the TV will be mounted on. By my reckoning we need 55inch-60inch to ensure we have a decent viewing experience. I've binned the 75 inch models I was looking at because she's just not having something that big in the room.

Can someone recommend something to me please....she is just not helping me in any meaningful way. Ideally I want the moon on a stick ! Budget is £900...and again if possible I'd have a sound bar.

Any help appreciated guys....I'm fighting a losing battle and genuinely losing the will to live with this particular issue. I won't be using the new TV for gaming as the PS4 pro will be put in a spare room with the Vierra ! Haven't yet mentioned I'll be getting a PS5 in a few months...Pray for me.

Any advice/recommendations appreciated guys.

Viera plasma?
If so, keep using it. Although not 4k capable I find the image on the GT30 much more pleasing and clear enough for most things.
And with the right programme via whatever streaming service it still looks superb

Go to a Richer Sounds when they reopen and tell the person exactly what you've written above.
Take his advice.

You need to pick between LED and OLED, which for the most part is likely to be based on budget
