Hi
Does anyone know if this car has a clutch slave cylinder? I'm getting the clutch replaced at the moment with my mechanic and have also bought a new master and slave cylinder. According to the clutch pedal diagram on 7Zap there is a clutch slave cylinder, I bought one from AutoDoc. However, my mechanic says my car doesn't have one. But I'm sure a couple of months earlier when I took my car in for him to troubleshoot and intermittent stiff clutch pedal he said he bled the clutch line to check for air and the quality of the fluid and pointed to something with a bleed nipple which I think was the slave cylinder. Odd thing is Eurocarparts doesn't have slave cylinder listed.

So you've already bought a master and slave cylinder...but you're asking if the car has one ?
And your mechanic says no ?
If it has a clutch master cylinder, then it has to have a clutch slave cylinder. Slap your mechanic as he's an idiot and find another mechanic to do the job.
And certainly any online retailers offering a clutch kit, clearly show the 3 parts typically changed when doing the clutch. The clutch cover, friction disc and slave cylinder/bearing.
Although as the car will also have a dual mass flywheel, almost certainly this will need changed too.
Clutch changes these days can be expensive.
And yes Euro do show them as can be seen in their kits.

I would be surprised if your car does use an old external type slave cylinder that your link shows, they're very uncommon these days.

That's the central slave cylinder which did come with the clutch kit inc the dmf. Im asking about the external slave. He's saying there isnt one. I ordered the parts due to a 40% discount on autodoc and going by the 7Zap schematic....not unless the 7zap schematic is wrong.
