Hi all,
I'm considering exchanging my PS4 for a PS4 Pro, predominantly so I can view 4k content (Disney+). I'll be likely exchanging at CEX, so used for used.
Firstly, is this a good idea
Secondly, if I do this, is there a simple way to transfer the saved game data? Is it as simple as putting the data on a stick and then copying it that way?
Or do you transfer saved game data to the PS account (I have a log in, but have never bought anything online via the PS)?
Cheers

Hi Ash, you can just copy them over to a USB stick and then transfer back that way, or you can join PS+ and upload them to cloud storage and pull them back from there. Once you've uploaded them they'll stay there indefinitely whilst your membership is live and if it lapses they will hold onto them for 6 months.

Sounds like USB might be your best option though given what you've said.

Hi Stevil,
thanks for the reply, I may also investigate costs of PS+ too. I take it that's what's needed to play games online (although I've never done that and probably don't want to).

Amazon have PS+ annual sub going for £39.95 at the moment. That is a heck of a deal for the free games you get every month and the fact you can play online properly.

Buying from CEX gives you two years warranty and peace of mind. That goes a long way, though the price of buying the pro will be higher than buying a nicely cared for version on Gumtree.

Your call.
