I have always had Nokia/Nokia designed phones. My Lumia 950XL was a great phone, but the apps were no longer being updated so I decided to get a new phone. My family all have iPhones and although I did consider this, I couldn’t justify the expense. Consequently, I bought a Nokia 8.3 5g. It was £500, but as it was the launch model, I also got a free case, handle and earbuds.
Initially, it was a steep learning curve moving from Microsoft to Android, but I persevered and now I love it. I am still learning how to use the apps and how to get the best from both the phone and the operating system, but the more I learn, the more I like it.
The screen is brilliant, the picture quality is excellent, especially on 5g, however in 4g areas it is better to use standard definition as enhanced ends up buffering too much. The case is great but feels very slippery, it is much better with the gel case on.
At the moment, Nokia have got a great Black Friday deal on, £399 plus free case and handle.
I don’t regret buying it.
