This is not a drill!! Its for sale and could be YOURS!!

The story I heard is that it was ordered by a german lady who did films. Yes, those sort of films...

I had heard of it, but only seen one grainy image until now. In all its pastel pink glory. The most macho of Astons. Your Thoughts??.

It looks to be in incredible condition, but holy cow what a colour.

Gosh...

So many thoughts, so few that are fit for publication...

When a new person joins the forum some folks write "photos or it didn't happen" or refer to "the custard test" ...

Let's leave it there!

I’m thinking there maybe more than one of these!

I remember a pink Vantage being built but I am sure the interior was fundamentally black with pink stitching. The story, I recall, was a German gentleman was buying it for his wife who had just given birth to their first child.

I guess you have to see it in the flesh...

I remember that car well when it was going down the production line at Newport, certainly a good talking point when doing factory tours !!!

Were there two pink ones? There was talk of a pink one being built for a German customer and everyone was duly horrified. Admittedly I didn't see it in the flesh but AML published a press release which I did see of a Vantage in a much more subtle colour, a sort of pink champagne colour.

I would imagine a few people out there are hoping to pay less purely because of the colour and then it will be stripped and repainted in a more traditional Aston colour with a massive mark up

But what does she think of the car?

Seeing that the car has a badge that it has been restored in the AML factory in 2012, I wonder if it looked different before.

Here's a blog entry about a similar -if not the same- car from 2006: https://www.autoblog.nl/archive/2006/06/30/wraf-de... - it was for sale at that time for €130k with 15.295km on the odo.

Differences
Interior is blue with pink piping
instruments are more standard
grilles are black
no cameras in the bumpers

I remember seeing a pink DB5 up at the Beamish Aston Martin place.

Almost identical shade of pink, so maybe linked !?!

Apart from the heading that says it is a V550, the add gives no information at all about the actual car for sale.

I see that quite often where they talk about the motorshow the car was launched at and the magazine road test. Buyers want to know about the actual car for sale.

I don't think it's pink enough for Jordan. smile
