Morning all

I tried to get Sky Q last year but when the Sky engineer came round they said due to health and safety they couldnt get to the dish as a result of a wooden pergola being slightly in the way.

I was told at the time the engineer was needed because the current dish did not have the correct LMB for Sky Q.

I am about to get a non sky engineer to to run the cables from the dish to another part of the lounge. Whilst he is up there I am thinking of replacing the dish as it is rusty and also putting on a Sky Q LMB for future proofing.

Will the SKy Q compatible LMB work with a normal SKY HD box in the interim period of moving to Sky Q as it may be a month or so until I switch service.

You'll need a hybrid LNB to work with either Sky HD or Q.

You'll need a hybrid LNB - these support Sky's Q boxes as well as their legacy decoders.
