I have a S1 Lotus Elise 111s with the LSS, rear assembly toe-link, Yoko A038 and proper geometry.

I have not the antiroll bar fitted.

My car feels very soft on the track. In the corner i get a body roll and then when i brake, the springs in the front is pressed togeter (i dont know the english words)

Is someone experied the same problem? Can i do something about it? Fit stiffer springs? Buy whole new damper kit? Leda, Nitron, Öhlins?

If i fit the antiroll bar, is my car start to understeer? Today it is very nice when i steer in the corner.

I use my car 90% on the track

I have some pictures there ou can see my problem.

I think you have answered your own question LSS is too soft for track work. Most people ugrade to Nitron or more recently Olins suspension. It looks from the pictures that your car is on the bumpstops unless the ride height is set very low.

If you go to SELOC or British cars BBS there is literally tonnes of information on different settings spring rates, geometry settings etc which people have tried and tested with different tyres etc.

Looking good !

I'd get a set of Nitrons, speak to Guy (the bloke who runs the company) as he will be able to advise you best on what shocks/springs to use.

I´m glad you like my car. I´m very happy with it and very competive on the track, but not now. :-(

Do you have any numbers on spring rate that should work nice on track?

I have LSS and ARB. Was advised that for track work changing to Exige springs would improve things considerably. Perhaps this is something you want to consider before spending our mega $$$ on Nitrons?

this is mine on LSS - you are right - does look pretty soft (plenty of bite though)

The standard Nitrons come with 325/400 lbs springs which are fine for road use and track days.

more opinions on spring rates etc

Try PB Racing in Italy.
They win races (including 24 hour races) in Elises all the time.

The LSS is best for "sporty" fast road driving. On track its soft and marginally better than standard.
