Where to buy 100 bottles of gin...
Discussion
Hi
Want to buy 100-150 bottles of gin for customer presents.
I tried to support local by calling a local distillery but he wasn't overly bothered and it worked out a lot more expensive than "main stream" brands.
Places like Morrisons have stuff for £14/£15 a bottle - can that be beaten? Trolley might end up quite full...
Thanks

Have you tried speaking with the manager of your local supermarket? We used to get deals on advent calendars / Easter eggs for buying in bulk from them. Want to buy 100-150 bottles of gin for customer presents.

Also schedule a separate pick up round the back so you don’t look too much like a doomsday prepper...

I did think that but I'm not a member and would guess it would take a long time to sort with the current state of affairs & xmas loomingJust tried the number actually but no answer
Registration takes just a few minutes in person with a few invoices and photo ID or the like

My partner always calls Asda and orders 2000 mince pies (he gives them as a present in the week leading up to Christmas with each order of fish and chips). They tell him which day they have them and then they even help him out to the car with them. They are not fazed by it and would expect all major supermarkets will help especially if you give them notice.
Bear in mind that there are so many different varieties of gin these days that saying "I want to buy them a bottle of gin" is about as vague as saying "I want to buy them a car" - petrol, diesel, electric, sports, SUV, saloon - if you catch my drift. There are pubs for example who advertise 350 different brands, albeit some would obviously be very specialist.
If it's a wide spread of people then better to play it safe and go for something very mainstream like Gordons or Bombay I would have thought.

One of my friends has just set up a company that deals with local gin distillaries.

So if your customers are in different areas then you can get them Gin that’s local to them....
Worth a look?

Where are you based, we buy gin in bulk for our business from a local friendly gin maker, who is very appreciative of the support, and gives us trade pricing.
Dont let that one convo put you off, try another
It's also nice for your customers to have something local and unique, rather than gordons or something they can get from tesco
