Now that's nice! My first car was an '85 1.3 SR and it was nowt as clean as that 25 years ago! Would love one or a Sport as a hobby car but prices went daft years ago.

Quite the pocket rocket there, what's the full specs of the car? Guessing the redline's up around 7500rpm.

Curious to know what handling setup and brakes you've gone with to go with that little powerhouse.
Great little car though smile

I have a 1.6 8v rally spec engine available with Weber 45s, giving 135 Bhp if anyone else is interested. Came out of my Escort Mk2 rally car

My first car was a Nova Sport running the Twin 40s' that came in boot with the rest of the kit - swear that little 1.3 only did about 25mpg at best, sounded like a Messerschmitt according to the colleague I used to pass on the way home smile

I'd always thought of replacing the 1.3 with a 1.6 but in the end it went to cover the cost of insuring the next car, Astra GTE.
I bet it handles better than running the C20XE engine up front as well

I'd would recommend investing in some polybushes in the suspension if not already done.
Decent amount of power like this, the rubber bushes would likely start to degrade pretty rapidly, if not failed would only exacerbate the torque steer issue, a good LSD such as a Gripper plate type would be a bit better than an ATB type from somewhere like Quaife, especially if the inside wheel lifts.

Also seems KW do carry an option for the Nova , Stainless steel construction and TUV approved. be it under the Opel Corsa brand - https://www.kwsuspensions.co.uk/shop/OPEL_CORSA_A_...S8309_1982-03_1993_S83_1.4_S_Petrol_53KW_1389ccm_Nz*fiCGE7ee-Jk7vvKWNuA../56/Street_Performance

V1 = fixed rate but would have been fine tuned for the car.
V3 = adjustable bound and rebound.

Just a few suggestions for good quality parts and would make the car a decent little gokart. smile
