Which tyres to go for

Hi guys,

Looking at replacing the tyres on my BMW E39 540i and am looking at the 2 tyres.

Falken FK510 or

Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 5.

There is a £40 difference for going for the Goodyears so just wondering if it would be worth the extra? Falken's seem to have top reviews, Goodyears not so much?

Goodyears IMO, but the Falkens are very good also

However, you could save some £££ and go for Vredestein Ultrac Vorti's via Camskill. Superb tyres and had them on my current E39 Touring and previous E39s.

I personally rate these better than the above

Uniroyal Rainsport 3s and 5s are superb tyres also and suit the UK climate superbly. But they can wear quickly, more so if you've a heavy foot

I like Goodyear tyres, always been happy when I've used them but £40 a corner would make me think.

I changed from 19” Pirelli P zero, to 18” Goodyear EffiicentGrip. The noise and comfort level were a noticeable improvement (yes I know the increased sidewall helped). I have not tried the Goodyear Asymmetrics.
