Facebook Portal with Zoom

Does anyone have any experience of Zoom on Facebook Portal?

Having Inlaws in their 80's and struggling with PC's and zoom for family meeting, we are thinking of getting them a Facebook Portal TV and use with the zoom app.

Basically looking for something simple to display on their TV so that they get a big picture with good volume.
I think it will be a busy Christmas period for family chats during lockdown. Are there any other available options?

Might be worth looking into what tv they have, some tv's have native camera support built in. A more recent LG for example can run Zoom, just connect a camera and you'll be good to go.

Can you not just create them a Facebook account purely for use on the Portal?

They don’t need to have “friends” apart from people they want to call and be able to be called by.

That’s what I have done for my parents, really easy to use.

Yeah cant you just use the Portal as it is intended?
Especially as you need to keep things simple for them.

I think we'll probably stick with the pc option for the time being and see how other options pan out

Doesn't Portal also support WhatsApp video calls?
