Model

Hi new TV no female jack.
2 HDMI
I USB
1 Optical
Nothing in settings that mentions Headphones.
I don't mind using wired or Bluetooth.
But how. I've bought 2 adapters which didn't work and have been returned.
I took back a Hitachi TV because of volume problems and bought this?
Any one guide me please?
Thanks

Are you trying to get an analogue audio output? If so you can use an optical to analogue convertor.

Like this eg

Thanks for that.
This TV doesn't even have the coloured females for sound.
What you have linked says it won't work in a TV USB connection ?
In my TV settings there is no mention of Headphones only TV or Sound bar.
I'm quite baffled by all of this.
I would normally walk into a shop, seek advice and buy something!

Are you trying to get headphones working with TV? Or are you trying to get an audio out, for an amp?

Doesn't the TV come with in-built Bluetooth support for headphones ?

Reread my post Gents please?
It's exactly wjat I said to Currys Technical Help as well, their reply was the same!
They were no help.
Nothing at all mentions Headphones, Bluetooth or plug in in the Settings Menu on the TV.
I'm only posting on here because it's not simple.
Sound Settings has 2 options
1) TV Volume.
2) Sound bar.
I do appreciate your help.

Thanks.
No, none of those options appear in my settings.
As I said, if it was simple I wouldn't ask!
Again, I do appreciate any help.

You need to go into the bluetooth settings and 'pair' a set of bluetooth headphones. There will be an 'e' manual in the TV settings somewhere that will help.

OK.
I'll look again when I get home.
I think I messed up when I bought this at £349.
Maybe I should have known better!
Thank you.

Try Settings > General > External Device Manager > Input Device Manager > Bluetooth Device List

Do you have anything like a soundbar or surround sound system connected already?

No, but I do have a Sound bar. However the sound on this TV is adequate.

I don't see why the optical to analogue converter that megaphone linked to wouldn't work.

OP - your reply to his suggestion reads as if you've looked at the converter and got the input and outputs mixed up.

The sequence would be - your TV's optical ouput > toslink cable (supplied with the converter) > converter box > twin RCA to 3.5mm socket cable > headphones

Probably won't have enough gain/output to run headphones directly. Would need an amp, headphone amp or similar. If he cannot get BT working then it is an option.

The optical output is at fixed volume.

The OP will need a headphone amplifier with an optical input.

This Lindy headphone amplifier will do the job perfectly. (£75)

As will this one (£49.99)

Or this one (£68)
