I am trying to use Safari to do some shopping for Xmas but it is not allowing me to add the item to the website shopping bag. I click the "Add to bag" button which then goes grey but nothing happens.

From Chrome I can add the item no problem.

I am using Safari 14.0 I have prevent Cross Site Tracking ticked but "Cookies and website Data" unticked.

MacOS still n Catalina 10.15.6

The only extension is Antivirus One which is unticked.

I prefer to use Safari as the native browser, does anybody have any suggestions please apart from use another browser?

What site is it and what AV extension are you using?

Maybe the basket/checkout is on a domain that's considered 'cross-site'?

Try turning all your extensions/blockers/restrictions off and see if that helps.

However, I still have some sites that I simply use Brave/Opera/Edge Chrome for instead...as Safari simply doesn't seem to work with them.

use another browser = always best to have an alternative

System designers cannot test every OS/Device/Browser combination out in the wild. Having said that - recent ones should have been tested

It'll be a pop up blocker.

I have had this too.

Easier to have a backup browser for the odd issue like this.

Thanks everybody, did more digging and turned off the "prevent Cross Site Tracking" in Privacy of preferences and that did the trick, bag working and product ordered.

really appreciate your time guys.
