I've never owned an Audi before and I'm looking at this one. I was hoping someone experienced could say whether it's a good deal and what the reliability is like?

Great cars. One key point, make sure the engine is cold when you view it, and there is no engine rattle (chains) for longer than a second or two. This is a well documented issue with this engine, that you can find loads of information on online. Just search Audi 3.2 Cam Chain Rattle.

This aside, brilliant cars. I loved mine, and it didn’t put a food wrong in my ownership. See my thread here: https://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?t=14...

After this I purchased a 3.0TDI A6 Avant, which was also great. But, the petrol engine is far better for average mileage.

Strong money for a 14yo car.

That low a mileage on that age of car, that is not overly special would concern me.

A6s are built as motorway mile munchers, not a town car. So has it been sat up for a long time. Maintained correctly etc

C6s are good cars, but have a few things to look for, suggest a Google search, as it's been covered many times before.

I bought my A6 3.0 TDI from the same people 8 years ago and it was immaculate although on the higher side cost wise,
I still have it and the only thing I would say is check that everything that is listed is on the car, mine said it came with a 6 disc changer but when I got home found out it was only a single CD player.
Was not worried as I had one from my previous Audi.
Look at specialist Audi forums to see what people say about the 3.2,
The dealer does seem to sell well looked after cars.

As it's been a Japanese car, watch out for any oddity with the satnav and radio.

As others have said, very strong price for the age.,

It’s a nice car, but very strong money as others have said. The km Speedo would grate for me as well, particularly on a top dollar car.

The petrol 3.2 engines are awful on fuel, I am not adverse to spending money on fuel as I have a C6 RS6, but we used to have a A3 3.2 averaged about 25-27mpg on a run, on the same run get 23 from the RS and used to get 35 from my 3.0btdi c6 advant with 203,000 miles on it
