E65 760i EDC and Battery Module
Discussion
My e66 760 is a 2004 model for context.
Battery can be lead acid (mine are) if you want, but does need to be coded.
For the suspension settings, you need to go to settings (SW on the i-drive iirc) then the ‘car’menu, then over to the right & EDC:

This changes between ‘sport’ and ‘comfort’ with a click of the i-drive. It’s completely separate to the steering wheel button, that only does the gearbox patterns.
Edit: - somehow missed your last post.... so you know where it should be. Apologies. One possible cause is that you’ve a replacement screen. It’s very easy to undo the screen from the dash ( couple of torx) and then you can see the manufactured date. Mine went on the fritz a while back, so I got a second screen from Quarry motors. It linked up fine, but all the L7 screens were gone, as the car it came from didn’t have L7.
I would postulate that the screen you have might be a replacement, also needing to be coded to the car.
I ‘repaired’ my original screen by taking it to bits & cleaning the boards, so I’ve still got the replacement screen knocking around somewhere if you want to give it a go/need one for coding - just let me know.

And yes, my menu looks exactly like that, minus the option for EDC just for clarification. Another intersting point (but will need to double check t confirm) Battery can be lead acid (mine are) if you want, but does need to be coded.

My car does have L7, but I only found this out by playing with the rear iDrive. I don't recall seeing any of the L7 opions on the front iDrive, so perhaps you are on to something!

Hi, thanks for the reply.
My issue is another E65 owner has shown me how to change the settings and I assure you there should be an option in the idrive
When you go into settings, and then the little picture of the car where you adjust what the steering wheel button, there is an option there for EDC.
My menu looks the same as his, except its missing the EDC option
