Offer came with the new phone. Anybody tried it and what's it like?
My interest would be mainly Camera and video related.

Although pretty aware of iPhone, when my new one came through I booked a session.

Like you, I wanted to ensure I was up on camera and video.

Had a half hour with a nice chap, Dave. As I thought I might, I picked up a couple of good tips and learnt a couple of things I hadn’t immediately worked out for myself. Well spent time.

What have you got to lose but a bit of time? And you’ve paid for it by buying Apple anyway.

Thanks for that, so it's not just a sit down classroom lesson. You get to ask questions I take it. thumbup

Oh yes. Full one-to-one discussion is what I got, asking whatever I wanted...

Plus - if you want to allow it - Dave can use the technology to see what's on your 'phone and help direct in a very practical sense, while you're chatting. So you are properly coached in how the camera controls work, in comparison to what you want to achieve (for example, I didn't really get "Night Mode" until we chatted it through, then it's all very obvious, of course)

Prior to the world changing, Apple used to offer these courses at their branches.
I found them useful to learn about the different software and quirks vs using Android/PC

Monday's at Regent Street for example, used to have iphoto and Photoshop guides for free with their experts.
Stephen Fry was on hand for one to talk about Soundwave, which was nice smile

Maybe just me but I'm always very sceptical of such things ... They are either trying to sell you something else, or indeed tying to find out what's on your phone.
