No - not a euphemism for the morning after a big curry night...

I'm very familiar with the TED portal which provides an OJEU advertising interface for contracts with public sector organisations, but is there (or even are there) similar private sector portal(s)?

Or do private sector firms just invite the usual suspects directly to bid for work each time they need stuff doing?

There's no legal obligation for private sectors to tender out work - though some choose to and some have to as part of wider contracts they have with public sector organisations.

Those that fall into the latter of these sometimes pop up on https://www.b2bquotetenders.co.uk

Some trade bodies have a 'services required' section access to which requires membership

Yeah - I knew that there was no requirement to advertise - just wondered whether any portals had grown to form a useful resource for companies looking to sub work, or whether they'd rather just stick with a handful of bids from companies they already trust.

Wow, wish I'd known about that before.
