2005 A3 2.0 TDI oil pressure light
Discussion
Noticed the other day that my 05 A3 doesn’t have a low oil pressure warning light that comes on with the ignition as all my previous cars have had.
At key on, I get the following warning lights:
In the rev counter: glow plugs, stability control and engine management lights
In the speedo: air bag, alternator (battery), seat belt, handbrake, ABS and power steering (cycles yellow then red)
No oil pressure light to be seen anywhere.
I would be grateful for any confirmation of:
A) whether this is normal
B) where the oil pressure light is located
I’ve shone a light onto the instrument panel which makes the location of the various warning lights visible, but I can’t even see it that way.
All the above lights go out after a self test apart from the engine management and alternator lights which go out on engine start. In other words, the panel seems to behave normally otherwise.
Any pointers welcome. I should add that the car didn’t come with an owners handbook or manual.
Cheers
