Bit of an odd post but I'll try to explain.

I've got a Suzuki, with CCIS. Imported from Japan, so of course it still had the genuine green CCIS oil in the oil tank tank.

Suzuki don't sell CCIS oil here anymore (and I can't import it - not worth the hassle really).

Sooooooo anyways, I miss the smell frown as I'm using Gulf Syntrac just now so I can still use it.

Onto my question, what smells similar and is JASO FC minimum?

Also, do scented oils actually smell when it's burnt or will it just make the oil tank smell?

I run silkolene pro kr2 in my chainsaw just for the smell.

Don’t know the spec unfortunately.

Castrol R is the stuff you need. Such a distinctive smell. Pretty much all two stroke racers used to run it back in the day and it's such an evocative small for me now

I can vouch that the fully synthetic castrol power 1 racing 2T oil smells very good as well...

Yeah I did take a look at those, I'll probably give it a bottle a go and see.

I'll probably end up trying all sorts of oils one after the other laugh

Motorex Cross Power has a similar smell that you will be familiar with. Suitable for use in oil injection systems.

Thats the one. Beautiful.

Memories of enduros / Hare'n'hounds on my two stroke KTM 125 in the South Wales forestries back in the late 80s come flooding back ..........

Absolutely ..... but not suitable for oil injection as mentioned above, castor based and too thick.

Any modern 2 stroke oil is far better than anything available back then.

Someone should bottle the R smell and market it.

I'd wear it for aftershave instead of Brut 33.
