GPS units, do they work?
Discussion
I''ve seen recent adverts for the Morpheous Geodesy which is a GPS positioning unit that has details of all fixed camera positions programmed into it & can be updated using a modem. It plugs into your cigarette lighter & bleeps as you approach cameras. It costs a fair wedge £380. Before I check one out does anyone have experience of using one??

yes ! and they are the mutts nuts along with the fact that they can't be banned as detectors can/are/will be (whichever). I do a set of road works every day and watched over a week as firstly the lines appeared then I saw 2 traffic cops stood around with contractors then 2 days later the camera was there on my way home. Mopheous had it the day it appeared. Buy it there worth the money if you have a "weathered" license. Or on a politically correct note "They are a genuine aid to road safety by flagging the accident black spots identified by the police" yea right or the revenue bins !!!!!!!!!

Trafcam is a snakes wedding of gadgets and cables, plus of course you need a palm and gps unit so more expensive i dismissed it as a hatched togeather thing the morpheous unit is neater and more proven but no experience on how good trafcams data base is which is what of course really matters. Also the word is trafcam have big avaliability problems and launched the thing before it was ready. Cant remember there web site but i found them from an add in the back of EVO magazine.
