About the BBMF
It was on itv-worth a watch despite the ubiquitous close up shot of the hurricane guns firing lol
Shame that it isn’t possible to have a mosquito in the bbmf.
Is it true that the one that crashed at north Weald in the 1990’s going to be sold to the RAF?

It didn't crash at North Weald. It crashed at Barton in 1996.

It was owned and operated by British Aerospace. I wasn't aware that they were planning on handing it over or selling it to the MoD.

My dad was at that airshow. He said it was awful hearing the engines cut out and then crashing. Also was at the show where the Russian planes clipped and crashed.

Very sad.

As said above - it was destroyed in a fatal crash at Barton in 1996 - at the time there were plans by BAe to transfer the operation of the aircraft to BBMF which obviously sadly never happened.

Thank you-I was sure I had read somewhere that it would be in the BBMF if it hadn’t crashed.
