Manual 991.2 GT3 cs or a 991.1 RS, with15k to 20k price difference would the RS be the better car or is 991.2 being the newer car the one to have, it would be used as a weekend toy + a few track days a year, would love a .2 RS but out of my reach, would love to know people thoughts

If PDK - I can’t help - but for me if you want a fun toy - 991.2 manual GT3 over a 991.1 RS every day of the week - I sold my 991.1 RS for a 991.2 manual GT3 - never looked back - so much more fun IMHO for the road smile

The RS is a great car.
The Manual 991.2 GT3 is an awesome car.

No bad choice, but only one choice if you want Manual and only you know that desire.

I'm waiting to collect a manual 991.2GT3 on Saturday. Seems ages away...

But if I could of managed the budget then I'd have the 991.1RS in a heart beat. But sadly out of reach for me.

just about the same price if you buy a 991.1 RS with 25k miles !

My answer OP...would be you need to consider two things. How much do you think you’ll notice/appreciate the extra performance of the RS on track and which obviously which gearbox which you enjoy using the most. Everyone on here will have different opinions but it’s yours that matters...but I would listen to people like RSVP who have owned both and not me who has only owned the 991.2 GT3 smile

Simple buy a GR , manual with a wing , PCCB and comfort seats , then you can relax on here knowing you are in PH heaven .

What extra performance does the .1 RS provide over the .2 GT3 , it has slower lap times ?

Depends who is driving it I suspect....the .1 RS presumably feels more planted in the corners....bigger footprint and aero. Some people may prefer a car that has that feel in the corners. Not everyone uses a stopwatch when they're on track.

If it's your weekend toy I would opt for the RS. I ran both cars simultaneously for 6 months. Did several days at the RIng, Spa and Brands in both. The RS is more fun on the circuit, but the GT3 is a better road car. But as weekend toy I think the RS would feel more special. I opted to keep my 991.2 GT3 manual CS over the RS as I couldn't believe how compliant and easy it is to use a a daily drive and it's more discreet if you opt for a subtle colour. My RS was UV.

It has to be the 991.1 RS on looks alone, being a RS it’s also a more special in my opinion.

UV all the way....

Can’t help with original question OP but if you do decide to go GT3 I’m considering moving my manual CS on in order to try a .2 RS.

It’s got all the apparent ‘must haves’ I believe. PCCB, 918 seats, carbon inlays.

In crayon with 4K miles, just put 2 years extended warranty on.
