What an amazing race, F1 is often a snooze fest with Lewis winning, but last night was amazing ! Summary for me:

Have to feel sorry for George, but he proved his point, he is an amazing talent and a future world champion. To drive like that whilst clearly inexperienced in the car and the team was inspiring,

Perez deserved the win, coming from last place on the first lap. I still can't believe Racing Point have dumped him for Vettel, Red Bull will be fools not to give him a drive next year. Without him on the grid, it will be a real shame.

Lewis: George just showed you how its done !

I'm no Hamilton fan boy but I can't see how one good race from someone shows how it is done to someone who has won quite a few championships wink

Driving as well as Lewis does, having only driven the car a few times, not worked with the team or race engineer before ..... thats much more of an achievement than Lewis each week.

Hence - that’s how it’s done

But Lewis did that in his first season? So Lewis knows how it’s done.

George Russel drove magnificently, did everything that was expected of him and showed how grown up he was in the interviews after the race.

But he showed Lewis absolutely nothing.

What a ridiculous statement, Lewis does it pretty much every week.

What Russell has done is demonstrate that the bulk of the performance is the car. thumbup

I can see the whole of the F1 community getting behind George if he gets a merc seat.

What a nice intelligent guy. Future star.

George did a fantastic job, and showed the potential I think everyone already knew he had. But that said, and I am certainly not a Lewis fan, to suggest he has shown Lewis anything so far is ludicrous.

Whether you like him or not, he delivers pretty much week in week out. He may be in the best car, but then so is Bottas who he consistently beats.

The fact that Bottos can still be beaten by Max to second place, despite max having 5 DNFs says something about Lewis Hamiltons domination. Yes he has the fastest car, but you still have to use it.

I think it shows a couple of things - Bottas really isn't all that and that the team are willing to sacrifice his performance to support their no.1.
