This is a SCi-FI TV series directed by Ridley Scott, about two Androids, 'Mother & Father' sent to another Earth like planet to raise 6 children.

Watched the first three episodes yesterday, and seems quite intriguing. Seem a bit like 'The 100' SCI-FI series but with only 2 factions. Quite optimistic that this could end up being a good one. Wouldn't want to get on the wrong side of 'Mother', as she is a serious Mother F...cker LOL !

Brave actress in the sense of what she wares. Reminds me of the actress/outfit for 'Seven of Nine' in Star Trek. You would be able to tell if she has had roast dinner, with that outfit.

We watched it too, but my wife has lost interest in it, I guess it is a bit slow moving but I'm hooked, episode 6 now and I'm still enjoying it.

Brilliant show absolutely love it.
major spoiler if you haven't finished it

Is this another one of Ridley's ancient aliens ideas? I thought they might be saving money by reusing digital assets from Prometheus but a bald being shows up dressed in a robe much like an Engineer. Also, there is an episode called 'Lost Paradise', Prometheus is based on the short story 'Paradise Lost'

There's another thread here discussing it when it was first broadcast in the US and some other countries earlier in the year.

Tip; with hindsight I should've probably rewatched Prometheus and maybe some of the Aliens movies before watching this. Not essential, but it might have been of benefit, or it may not.

They must’ve gone through hundreds of latex catsuits!

3 in and it’s a good watch.
Wish I hadn’t read reviews on IMDB though.

I can only think of the Eddie Izzard sketch "I was raised by wolves... they called me 'Grrr'..."

I think it is superb, very slow moving but I would expect that from a movie director, and that is what I loath about most tv series, they are too familiar and easy to follow, so I lose interest in them unless the characters or story are very strong.

This though is beautiful in its own way and uses lesser known names to make you appreciate the story, it is developing nicely and I think is certainly up there with Dark Materials in terms of story so far.

Most sci fi tv is garbage, but this reminds me of all sorts of things and has a nice thread running through.

It started well - the first episode was directed by Ridley Scott.

It went steadily downhill from there.

Agree with the above post. Started promising but went downhill quite rapidly for me.

Just finished the final episode and really enjoyed it, hope there is a series 2. There have been a few good sci-fi series of late I enjoyed the Expanse as well.

Think its excellent

My only issue is the androids who are suddenly massively attached to a human kid, that makes no sense, false love.

But otherwise it is excellent, best thing I have seen for a while, significantly betetr than Manda or His Dark Materials in my view

Had high hopes but the storyline went full on unbelievably mental near the end.

It does fit in with Ridleys Prometheus timeline too.

Did you miss the episode explaining how Mother came to be? I thought they made that pretty clear, no?

Watched the first 4, starting to wane a bit, will persevere.

Watched it all now, the last few episodes are a bit ridiculous, the final one in particular, the stupid lizard thing, i mean cmon, as usual with tv once the main man doesn't direct it loses the plot.

Was feeling like a very long movie, which is why I liked it, but became a typical silly tv show eventually. Damn shame as the potential was massive
