As many of you may know Safety Devices went into administration a couple of weeks ago. I have been trying to get hold of someone from the company to try and find out what the state of play was for a while, and finally managed to make contact today. It seems that they were left in the lurch by our friends at Rover with a huge unpaid bill, and also by a Russian oil company !

Anyway the good news is that they hope to be up and trading again under a slightly different name within a couple of weeks. I have no idea what the implications may be for anyone with outstanding orders, but they hope to be in a position to take new orders (with full manufacturing capability) soon. So not all bad by the looks of things !

Keep looking at their website - the new details will be up soon.

I didn't know about this at all - very sad to hear that, they were a very pleasant bunch to deal with when I ordered a roll cage etc from them a couple of years back, I hope they get up and running again asap.

If you need a rollcage building then with Safety Devices in a bit of a pickle at the moment try Caged of Westbury in Wiltshire. Kevin and Phil are 2 great blokes and their workmanship and products are first class. I've had 2 cages from them and have been well impressed by their work. www.therollcagepeople.co.uk

Appreciate that, but I just want my goods or money back!!!

The guy in charge is being very elusive, although I am sure he is dealing with people/companies who are owed a lot more than me.

Cut your losses and your fruitless waiting and call Gert to buy one/two of the red GT3 harnesses - I thinkthe search for black one's might be fruitless. I did, I went for the pushbutton option as I couldn't wait for the twist buckle. I've had both types and both are equally convenient to use. Will try out at Bedford tomorrow.

I personally prefer push button and the bonus is they are road legal.
