Hi guys.

I'm looking for some guidance, or Sony TV is circa 6 years old and the screen is now showing vertical lines as below :-

We've never had any other issues with the TV, and this was first noticed last night just before shutting down and sadly it's still just as bad today, the vertical lines move with the images and appear to be colour related. There is no improvement when other in-puts are used so it's a screen issue rather than WiFi, satellite signal strength, but is this repairable, are there any settings changes which can sort it, or is it time for a new TV?

Thanks in advance.

I had an old CRT TV that did that and in the skip it went.

Sorry to miss that period party but it's new TV time if you want to join in...

I can see your problem, you're watching Loose Women and the TV can't cope with that amount of drivel!

Put it on Facebook marketplace for around £200 and advertise it as "Screen is broken but otherwise working perfectly cheap fix"

That's what everyone else seems to do.

hehe
