What's this periscope?

I'm hoping the collective genius here can help. In my stash of WW2 militaria (which is mostly for sale as I've been done with re-enactments for a long while) I found this periscope (ETA - could be a sight as its a bit short for a viewing scope?):





Markings say TP3 242942, can't see a WD arrow or anything else.

Any idea what it's from? Not necessarily WW2, I really don't know how I ended up with it.

Looks light armoured vehicle to me, say Saladin or Saracen, 50s/60s ish

Looks similar to French scopes but they usually have APX markings.

Drivers scope from either a Ferret or maybe a sSracen or Pig.... used to work on these last century!!!
