GR Yaris alternatives

I'm within days of pulling the trigger and ordering a GR Yaris with circuit pack. But it's the first new car I've bought since 2003 (a BMW Z4 at launch). And I've just got this nagging feeling that £33,500 is a heck of a budget for what will be just a fun third car (replacing a tweaked GT86).
Any suggestion for alternatives that I should consider before kicking myself? Don't mind spending less, could spend 10% more. Don't want horrendous running costs but it would only do about 6,000 miles a year and could be a two seater. Insurance not an issue but I'm not keen on depreciation - hence only ever one new car in my life.
I'm sold on the logic of the GR Yaris (I doa lot of rural B road driving) I just can't quite make myself take the leap for fear there's something else I have overlooked? It's such a left field car. I ended up looking at 911 Turbos earlier today... I need a sensible talking to!

GT86 would need turbo/supercharger to get more power and I think that defeats the USP of the car. 2.5 years I'm just getting an itch to change toys but it fulfills it's brief admirably for far less than Yaris GR.
I had thought about an Evora but fir some reason they've never quite done it for me but I've only seen one in the flesh in black which probably didn't help it.
I've spent hours looking at Alfa Guila Quatrofolglios of which there are plenty within budget - double the horsepower. Aggghhh!

There is no modern car I'd have over a GR Yaris for the same money.

I keep saying the GR is just a modern Pulsar (turbo 4x4 rally hatch) and I don't mean that in a bad way! These are best kept away from the salty roads in Nov-March though as they all love to rot...
These are the kinds of cars that will need properly looking after these days, the upside is they won't depreciate (look at prices now compared to 5 years ago!) and you'll have a LOT of change from your £33k. They'll also offer a pretty raw driving experience and depending if it's your thing or not, you could pick up a well-modified one that'll scare the crap out of you.

The only close alternative I can think of is the Audi S1. Similar performance, handling was praised, plus all the usual Audi plus points. In 3dr guise looks smart and a little understated.
I did look at these when I was considering changing, and they tick a lot of boxes, but at the end of the day it was an Audi A1 with bells on and not something special. Other than that there is nothing new-ish, compact, 4wd turbo around any more, which is why the GR is such a draw.

I'll probably get shot down for this, but honestly, at £33.5k with cash, PCP, part exchange, kidney or whatever other financing tool I'd personally really like one of these -

Yes I know it's not a rally homologation special, but day to day, for my needs, I think I'd enjoy this more.

Assuming you are referring to my suggestion, I agree that particular garage (or any for that matter) wouldn't do 1.9% PCP on that car but I'm more comparing the cars based on their price alone rather than their specific finance deal. For all we know the OP may be a cash buyer, may be able to add the funds to his mortgage, may be able to part ex something he has and take out a small loan etc etc.I'm a cash buyer but would take the two year 0% PCP from Toyota then buy outright if I was still liking the car.
