more noise please

ive got a 94 4L chimp top mota,it sounds good but could it sound better(like a 5Lgrif). if so how do i do it

Just had my exhaust converted and the sound is awesome. As I understand it, the perforated tubes in the exhaust were removed and sleeved with solid metal tubes before being reinserted. Result is straight through effect producing a huge growl - well chuffed with it! Work carried out by David Batty at a cost of about £150. I'll be at the meet on Sunday week if you want to hear it or in Chelmsford tomorrow if you want to hear it sooner! Let me know if you want a listen.

Is there anywhere near to Tamworth that can do this? or is there anyone near me who has a converted car that I coulod listen to as I think my car would benefit from it, but everyone else I know reckons that its too loud already!

here is mine with straight through pipes. I loved the sound. Although be warned, you are unlikely to get on many circuits if you fancy track days, or at least without adding after market baffles.

So you can get your car to sound that good for £150, have you got any other modifications on your v8, Does anyone know anywhere in Shropshire this can be done?

Nope, my old car was standard aside from the exhaust mod..

John I have a 450 Chimaera with "Exhaust Mods", and live up the road in Amington Fields, you are more than welcome to come and have a listen, although you've probably heard it from your house anyway

Just this morning had the noise levels checked at Curborough spring course, 103dB left bank 104dB right bank, so ok for Curby at 108dB max.

However for Donnington in August I've got to get down to 98dB - anyone got some cheap external baffles ??
