exhaust wrap

I want to put some exhaust insulation wrap on my S2 to reduce the under bonnet temperature. There appear to be different widths and lengths. Can anyone advise which width and how much I will need?

One 50' roll of 2" tape with a 50% overlap was just right to do the V8 out to the join with the Y piece. You can reduce the overlap to stretch it further if you need.

It's easy enough to do on the V6 if you cut the lengths you need as you wrap but don't expect a big reduction in engine bay temperature!
The Y pieces are the worst because so little space to wrap and clip.
AND THE SMELL!!!
Prepare for 1000 miles motoring with an acrid stink.It gets right to the back of the nose and throat and you can nearly taste it.
A summer job for sure!
