Facebook Lockout - Help?

The other evening (UK) I received a notification to tell me that Toon Blast has accessed my Facebook account. As this was a game my son was playing on iPad at home at the time, and I don’t want him on social media, I decided the best thing to do would be to remove my iPad from my approved devices list.
I went into the list and removed all devices, deciding that it would be good to have a clean slate, and that I could authorise devices when I needed to, as I don’t like having lots of approved devices for any of my online activities. I've done this in the past without any issues.
I then thought now would be a good time to update my password as I had not done so for a while, and this is where the problems began. Whenever I updated the password on my PC I would receive a message saying “Error Performing Query”, and whenever I tried it on my Android phone I would be told that there was a problem changing my password. I would then be sent a code to access my account to my account email, which would allow me to continue using Facebook. I tried a few more times to reset my password, as my original one now no longer worked, and then my account became locked. Great.
I have subsequently used all of the methods of account recovery (email 6 digit code, identifying pictures of friends, Trusted Contacts code entry, text message), none of which have resulted in me being able to progress, as I have never received an email to my provided alternative email address or, if I have ever got to the “wait a few minutes for your code to be delivered” screen, the code has never come through, and is not in my junk / spam.
Today I was able to attempt a password reset, which resulted in me successfully receiving a 6 digit code and taking me to the password screen. I entered a new password and was greeted with a blank screen. I pressed the Facebook home button and was allowed to login using my new password, but was greeted by a screen saying that I had tried to recover the account and set up a password at 00.50 (this is incorrect, I was asleep at this time), so I tried to use the Secure My Account button, which took me to an error screen yet again. I also received an email asking me to Secure My Account, which took me to a screen showing an invalid link / link expired text.
I’m going around and around in circles. Every time I’m sure I’m about to get somewhere I either get an error message or a blank screen and then back to the start. If they said I’d breached some rules, fine, I could live with that. If they told me what the error was, great, I can wait for a fix. But I literally have zero idea what is going on and have no response from Facebook themselves when I email them about it.
Basically I seem to be completely locked out due to an error in my account on Facebook, and am completely at a loss to know what to do. My business page is now unattended and out of my control which is a real worry. I need to get posts out to keep my business coming in and this is a bloody nightmare. I really wish there was some way of communicating with FB. I can't even use their help forums as I need to be logged in
Can anyone suggest anything, or do I just have to wait for *indeterminate time* until FB get back to me?
