Okay, don't get me wrong, I'm sure the genuine Aston Martin key pouch is very nice, but I don't care if it's made from the hide of a unicorn, and hand stitched by a mermaid, it costs HOW MUCH!!!

And yet a Google search finds virtually zero after market alternatives. Anyone else found a similar scrap of leather at less that a zillion groats per square metre?

I use a Bentley one for my glass key. Got it as a pressie from my brother in law who worked for Bentley.

Fits perfectly, aside from the B on the outside

I think a protective pouch is essential in the hopes that it will save the glass ECU if dropped.

New glass ECU is currently $1800.00 with programming included. Truly a bargain.

And the Bentley one is actually a third less expensive than the Aston one.

If you want cheap, get yourself over to AliExpress. There are some stunning examples over there... wink

Hence I want a pouch, I just don't like being punched, bored and reamered for the privilege.

Take a look at the Bentley site at their accessories and baubles. It will make you feel better.

In my book, £100 = 1,000,000 groats.

I felt exactly the same about the price when I investigated having bought my V8V and immediately regretted not making a key pouch a requirement of the deal, as I'd already blagged an indoor car cover.

I was lucky in that I found a guy on who had traded his VH car for a new model Aston, hadn't passed his genuine pouch to the dealer at handover and instead was auctioning it on eBay. I got it for about 50% of the retail price.

While typing this reply I wondered if this approach would still work so I opened eBay, searched for "Aston Martin Key Pouch" and came up with this at the top of the listings

I have no idea if it's genuine. It has a cut-out so you can operate the buttons, which I believe the later ones had - mine has no cut-out but, to reduce the risk of car-park fumbles, I've learned where to press the leather to lock or unlock the car with the fob in it's pouch. Any potential buyer could contact the seller to check, but to me the embossing and the key-ring look just like mine. Not only that but it would be already run in and have that exclusive patina of use that suits an older-model Aston.

As they often say on the site - "Happy Bidding!". Form an orderly queue biggrin

Or, for those in the UK more into instant gratification and with £94.50 (inc postage) burning a hole in your wallet, there's this a little further down

Give me a shout if anyone is still looking for a genuine key holder.

I'm pretty sure I've 1 or 2 hiding in the cabinet.

Compliments of the season to one and all.
