Hey Guys,

is this a good deal for a new 520d saloon m sport lci. Has metallic paint and sun protection glass:

Cash price: £36,035.00
Deposit: £1,000.00
Interest: £2,997.42
2.9 % APR
£446.62 x 47
Balloon payment £17,041.28

Many thanks for looking in, think I posted this in wrong section before.

I would say 2.9% is probably as low as you are going to find anywhere currently unless some manufacturers start doing 0% deals again but that seems unlikely in the current market.

You know what every car be one live bought or general quotes from BMW the PCM price is always around the number you have here.

Coincidence....

Looks like they’re getting creative with the “cash price” - BWM are giving basically that discount as a finance contribution on PCP at the moment.

Have you tried brokers or carwow?

Broadspeed and DriveTheDeal are worth checking too.

Plus worth going back to the dealership (your local one) with those quotes to see if they want to match or beat it.

Personally I’d have a look at the 2020 520d at bmw Huddersfield.3k miles on it. £26450, put a 1450 deposit down, 5 year bank loan on 25k (3%) will be the same monthly. One more year of payments but no balloon at the end, car is all yours to keep or sell.

£3k interest to have the use of a new BMW for four years and only having to find £1k deposit seems a good deal to me. £19k depreciation for the same car for the same period of time and deposit does not seem a good deal to me. Interest payments are generally not the most significant costs in running a new or expensive car, look at the total cost of owning and running it.

Assuming you don’t want to pay the ballon at the end you could lease the same vehicle for about £60 less per month with a similar deposit on around 10k miles.

Otherwise it looks about standard.
