Best all round family car £15k - £25k

Hi, as most of you guys I spend my life looking and reading about cars, now depending on my mood I seem to switch from the latest hot hatch, sports saloon to pick ups and everything else in between as my next purchase.
Having had in excess of 30 cars over the last 17 years I’m currently heading into my mid 30’s with a young family and looking for the most exciting family car you can get for somewhere in the region of £15k - £25k. Reason for the budget is I don’t want to buy using PCP etc and there appears to be a large spread of cars within the budget.
Currently we’ve got an BMW X5 F15 40d which my wife now drives as it’s great for the baby and dog. I hastily bought a Audi A5 Sportback Black Edition Plus 2.0tdi S-tronic quattro to replace the wife’s 16 Polo GTI..... I know I should have kept the Polo.
Anyway back to the ideal family car, criteria that I believe it needs to have to qualify, post 2010, 4/5 doors, enough space for babies, prom and dog, auto, decent infotainment, must be able to reach 30mpg when sat at 60-65mph on the motorway, engaging to drive when the wife and kids aren’t with you and a sub 7 seconds 0-60. So far I’ve come up with the below list;
-BMW F30 M3
-BMW F31 or F36 35d or 40i
-BMW 540i xdrive
-Audi S5 Sportback post 17
-Audi A6 avant or A7 BiTDi post 15
-Audi S7
-Volvo V60 Polestar
-VW Golf GTI or R although not the biggest.
-Merc C63
There are a few more that I believe to meet the criteria but I’m hoping some of you guys throw the odd curveball in the mix.

I've just got a Merc C300 Estate which I'm really loving.
Mine was a nearly new one with 5000 miles and lots of toys and right at the top of your budget but obviously older ones with more miles are less.
I had the previous gen C class estate (but a 250d as I was doing a lot more miles pre covid) and it was a brilliant family car. They don't feel massive to drive but you can get loads of stuff in them. Going on holiday last year we had 4 people, 4 large suitcases, pram and a few other smaller bags.
Performance of the C300 is more than enough for a family wagon. 0-60 in just under 6 and limited to 155 MPH. Yes it's not a C63 but then it doesn't have the same running costs.

I went for a BMW 335d touring. It's been great for the last two and a half years.
2010, tick in budget with realistic milages
4/5 doors, tick
enough space for babies, prom and dog, it's me my wife and one sprog. I had to go for a roof box for a weeks camping. Other than that fine
auto, tick
decent infotainment, tick
must be able to reach 30mpg when sat at 60-65mph on the motorway, 40 to 50 depending

Alternatively the petrol version would be the same but with lower mpg and a better noise.
