Hey folks,

Does anyone know how to check the name of an aircraft that flew a route on a particular date? VS 15 on September 16th?, I met my now wife who was working on the flight :-)

If your wife works for virgin it will be easy for her to get it, or is it a surprise?

Or doesn’t she know she’s going to be your wife yet. hehe

Are you sure that’s the correct date and flight number? What route did you fly?

VS15 was the Gatwick to Orlando route but pretty sure that was suspended earlier this year when Virgin Atlantic stopped flying in and out of Gatwick. I'm guessing, therefore, the OP is not referring to 2020.

We've used that route once or twice a year for nearly 20 years but our booked flights were moved to Heathrow this year, then cancelled and our tickets switched to opens. I think VS91 LHR-MCO replaced VS15 LGW-MCO- it's certainly what we've been moved to.

According to this site http://www.lhr-lgw.co.uk/ it was operated by G-VXLG in 2019 - info for other years is there as well.

'Ruby Tuesday', I think.

It actually changed each flight as a few aircraft did that route (LGW-MCO) but I don’t think there was any VS15 on those dates in the OP.

Thank you so much!!!!! Pistonheads never ceases to amaze me - thanks for the help with this as well as proving I’m an idiot.

Met on the flight, married shortly after and live in the states with three lovely kids, all because of that flight which neither of us were supposed to be on. She was working the flight and sat in front of me in the jump seat, the rest is history!
