I have received a £60 parking fine notice few days ago from Bank Park Parking Management. It was in Reading on oxford road.
I received the letter 8 days after a date of sending.
I have been using a 30 mins free parking space only over the weekend and I tend to stay there no more than 25 mins as i don't like to take a risk. The other weekend i didn't notice the noticed board saying cameras are in place and i have to take a free 30 mins ticket from a ticket machine. It was dark and i had my daughter with me who has hypermobility and can't walk fast. I was over 67 seconds of the 30 mins free parking limit.
Letter says, if i don't pay the £60 charges within 14 days of date of sending letter then i will have to pay £100. I have already appealed the charges but i like to know if i should wait for the appeal outcome? What if the appeal is unsuccessful, would i end up paying full £100 fine? Letter doesn't say anything about £60 fine if the appeal is unsuccessful.
I have tried ringing them but there is a answer machine saying office is closed due to covid 19.
Should i just go ahead and pay the fine or wait for the appeal outcome? I don't want to pay £100.

I think it's more the fact the OP didn't take a 30 minute ticket, just parked up. Being 67 seconds over a limit wouldn't usually result in a parking fine, there has to be allowance for actually finding a place to park and waiting time (possibly) to get out.
There may be people along soon to say you may be able to ignore it and risk escalation but I'm no expert on parking fines.

If you can, go at night to the car park and take photos of the signage (is it lit, visible, etc) and content of the signage themselves.
Post the story truthfully on Pepipoo. What happened. When. Timings. You will get help.
Do not appeal yet and wait for the advice.
(In short - Do not refer to Me/I, use terms like "The driver...." .
Generally you have a 10 minute window either side of arriving and leaving to be assumed to not be parked.
And generally you don't get a fine until 10 minutes after your parking permit has expired because of the above.
ETA : I read you have already appealed. So you've probably already thrown your chances of not paying out of the window.
You will get a generic NO response to your appeal .
