I bought mine from Insurethegap

No spam, just does what it says on the tin.

Decent reviews, really easy to set up and very competitive pricing.

No idea if it would pay out should the worst happen? Hope I never need to find out!

ALA don’t? Hmm - they must have changed it then as my R1 is on a five year RTI.

That’s a bummer - they’ve obviously stopped. Great Lakes is the underwriter...

It has just occurred to me - it might be worth giving them a ring - the reason I got the gap policy through ALA is because I had gap cover on a new Merc E class coupe that I totally destroyed on the M62. My insurers paid out fully so the gap cover was never needed, so as gap policies are transferable I asked if I could use it on my bike, which they very helpfully sorted for me. It cost me about another 40 quid or so, but that was for 5 years RTI so if my bike gets written off or stolen I'll get topped up to £15749 payout.

I have my car with ALA, telephoned for the bike and as mentioned above, don’t do bikes anymore. I went with Easygap.co.uk
