Went to renew my warranty policy for my 2015 X5 and discovered the premium had increased by £150. Called them to discuss and and I discovered the Company is actually closing but "would honour the policy" for another year.

I declined, to spend £750 with a company that is closing its doors, I will run with the risk this year.

I think the guy who used to run WD left and started Motor Easy. Might be worth a try? In my experience, none of them were hugely cheaper than BMW Insured.

Do yourself a massive favour and stay well clear of motor easy. They completely ignored me when I claimed for a snapped timing chain despite full bullet proof maintenance record and policy for years. Complete cowboys

You say that, however BMW Insured offered me extended warranty at £1100 for 1 year.

Warranty direct was £440 for the year.. everything apart from emissions was included (emissions was only a few quid extra).

Not surprised at all Warranty Direct have gone bust considering they’ve been underpricing warranties big time.
