Before I lose my marbles, I want to put a timeline together recording/showing all the cars I've owned.

Has anyone ever done this and recommend a good way of going about it (tools/software/apps) ?

I remember all the registration numbers, but not exact dates of ownership......

Tips most welcome ;-)

Without tempting fate I've driven 750,000 miles over 42 years & not had a parking ticket.

The aim is more for nostalgia, rather than data analysis, so needs to be pleasing to the eye....

I've started with some photos - by god, the early ones are shocking biglaugh

I (regrettably) haven’t gone to this level of logging. Although I would like to think this information on dates etc would be available from DVLA (at a cost)

I’ve kept a record in an excel spreadsheet but it’s nowhere near as detailed as that! Well done.

...I need to add more detail to my list, not going to get anything at work tomorrow morning!

For visuals i think an infograpic or MS Visio would be the way forward.

Or a combination of SQL & qlikview or Power Bi?

I have a page on my website dedicated to the cars I have owned, in chronological order. I also have a spreadsheet somewhere of various details like engine capacity, engine HP, current roadworthy status etc.
