Just Mario Kart and then has jumped straight into an F1 car, he was only told on Friday evening whilst unplugging the Nintendo.

0.026 quicker than Renault's quickest quali lap from the weekend. Be interesting to see if it was in an identical engine mode and on the same tyres as Ricciardo and Ocon or not

He also used to set the fastest time in pre-season with Ferrari. April was full of hope for Ferrari. Then Friday practice would start and...

All joking aside there are some exciting names in that list, F1 has a bright future if some of these guys can break through.

I noticed that too - shame that some aren’t coming through.

Hope Alonso ends ocon as an F1 driver next year. Esteban is arrogant and doesn't have the talent to back it up.

Agree, but it's hard to know which one to dislike the most.

This. And he has a good chance of ruining a lot of hard work done if the FIA and F1 don’t deal with him properly.

Thats something isnt it. Alonso won his last WDC 15 years ago (next season). Ill admit I have never liked him, but even so, I cannot see why they would want him now. He benefitted from great tires and , perhaps the dodgiest F1 team of all time. He didnt dominate in a great car (the Mclaren, one of the Ferraris) yet his stock is huge.

And now he is racing against the son of the last person he vanquished. Surely time to move over and let the youngsters in?

He has a huge following (especially in Spain, obviously). Big market for Renault.

He practically dragged at least two Ferraris far closer to a world title than they had any right to be.

Besides, I suspect he will teach some of them a few lessons next year. Seems as though he is still quick & he will always be relentless. I expect he will indeed effectively end Ocon's career.

A thousand laps more rubber on the circuit now than on Saturday too.
