Thats something isnt it. Alonso won his last WDC 15 years ago (next season). Ill admit I have never liked him, but even so, I cannot see why they would want him now. He benefitted from great tires and , perhaps the dodgiest F1 team of all time. He didnt dominate in a great car (the Mclaren, one of the Ferraris) yet his stock is huge. And now he is racing against the son of the last person he vanquished. Surely time to move over and let the youngsters in?

He practically dragged at least two Ferraris far closer to a world title than they had any right to be.
Besides, I suspect he will teach some of them a few lessons next year. Seems as though he is still quick & he will always be relentless. I expect he will indeed effectively end Ocon's career.
