Your F2 2020 Driver Of The Year

My top 3:
1. Robert Shwartzman
2. Yuki Tsunoda
3. Mick Schumacher
Tough to choose between Schwartzman and Tsunoda but I went with the former because I think he's an impressive talent even though his title chances went down downhill. Tsunoda isn't that far off perhaps as good as Robert in terms of talent.
Mick is the polar opposite of his father. Underwhelming first year, consistency and turning the wick up a couple of notches in his second year. Outstanding talents tend to make their mark in the first year, usually by winning the title.

I think Mick is very similar to his father. Not that quick in quali ( not 1 pole this year!) but ruthless and consistent in the race.
I'd go for Yuki because he would have been right up there but for some bad luck with his car. Always there or there abouts.
Illott really screwed up when the pressure was on in Bahrain.

This would be his father whose pole record has only just been surpassed by Hamilton this season? Regards Mike
Schumacher - he won the thing after all.
Rossi won his titles in the second year of competition in each class.
But seriously, he's been under more scrutiny than anyone else by some magnitude and he has steadily improved and delivered. I'm not sure F2's tyres really allow anyone to blow the field away - tricky f
kers.
Comes across as a thoroughly decent bloke as well, with a family situation that I wouldn't wish on my worst enemy.

When there are so few F1 seats, it begins to resembles a game of chess.
Despite winning the F2 title, there's every chance that Schumacher will be in the worst F1 car next year, with the worst possible teammate. Tsunoda will be midfield and depending on the new Honda engine, in with a chance of podiums if the front runners trip over themselves.
With the future of Alfa Romeo uncertain, Ferrari do seem to have too many drivers on their books. Russell, having done his Minardi time will likely end up in a Mercedes in 2022, proof that backing the right horse (Wolff) several years ago matters.
If Mick proves consistent and quick, opportunities might open up with him at teams outside the Ferrari sphere of influence in years to come, but his management team will need to do a lot of work behind the scenes in the meantime to make this happen.
