He was brought into line with the pay packets commensurate with his position. Including the tax hike to that pay increase.
He was kicked out relatively shortly after to high fanfare and much smirking.
We have different definitions of cashing in!
I am happy to remain a lowly peon.
I've contracted to the government in a far lower position and got paid more than Dominic Cummings He was kicked out relatively shortly after to high fanfare and much smirking.

I'm not particularly surprised by that amount. Let's be honest - like him or loathe him he will easily surpass that figure in future employment.
A universally loathed figure - what organisation would wish to hazard its PR and image by associating with him?Love to interview him though: "An interesting CV, Mr Cummings. I see everything you have touched turns to s

Ha, maybe you're right! There's plenty of very successful arse holes around, mind you....Love to interview him though: "An interesting CV, Mr Cummings. I see everything you have touched turns to s

Love to see him go full Machievelli scorned and 'advise' the Labour party to victory. I like Dom, a genuine intellectual anarchist
Anything is possible, he isn't a Conservative after all. Can't see him that happy if the government reverts to business as usual, enrich the wealthy and scr*w everyone else. The fact that they are dropping increased housebuilding and further embracing the green agenda are big warning signs over the direction of travel.

Probably on double that after expenses allowed for. It really is incredible how taxpayers money is "thrown around" by the Govt and it seems they can do what they want with it with little scrutiny.https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-55322985

Who actually employed him? The Conservative Party or the Cabinet Office? Was he PAYE?!?
SPADS are government advisors paid for by the government I believe. Opposition parties are also entitled to government funding to pay for their own advisors.
This probably tells you some of what you want to know.

They do indeed seem to be rather wasteful with spending, but the special advisors pay bill is unchanged. It was the same in 2019/20 as it was in 2018/19. TX.
