My van is a 2006 2.0JTD Fiat Ducato.
I noticed when I got it that this area has an oil leak/seepage. Not enough to leave any mark on the floor, just makes the area wet and oily.
I'll attach an image.
Is it some sort of breather?

Sorry for the quality, I had the flash on.

I should add, the image was taken horizontally, so the pipe that is wet with oil is coming from the top of the engine outwards.
Cheers!

What could cause this being wet with oil? A cracked pipe or knackered clip?

Just been and had another look... It isn't one hose, it looks like it's a couple of bits.
I did a Google search for the part and that is not the breather hose that came up. Strange!

This image shows it better.
There is definitely fresh oil at the base of it where it joins the engine. Looking at it, I can't tell if it'll just pull off, or if it needs more disassembly than that.

Is it an oil seperater/breather? If it is then there may be mesh flame trap inside that's blocked and may need a clean.

Not quite sure how you have googled that it isn't that but I would definitely say it is a PCV/breather considering where it is.

As has been said above, get it off, check it out clean it up & you will likely find a split or a dodgy joint.

What I meant was, I did a search for the Ducato breather hose and the part that came up was very different to the part I have pictured.

I'll take it off at the weekend and clean it up.
