V8 Vantage 2008MY: No CD track listing

I'm certain that my Vantage used to display CD track listings. It no longer seems to do this lol!
I've checked the settings in the Audio controls and the [x] is selected on the CD track listing option.
The DVD NAV unit in the boot recently stopped working (disc is in the player but it fails to recognise it and displays "Please inserts DVD into the drive" message). Could this be related? Is the NAV system part of the 'loop' of the audio systems MOST optic setup?

Anyone experienced this before? Its a minor issue. Normally I am quiet aware of the track that is playing . . . ["Exhaust Note" I think the track is called?]

Weird indeed. I don't think the sat nav is contributing.
Could it be - sorry for the very basic suggestion - the actual CD you are playing does not support text? I stopped using CDs many moons ago, but I remember in my past cars that not all of them supported it, it must be encoded and mastered with text data. I am not just talking about home-burned CDs, but even commercial ones.
