Tudor - Discount
Discussion
I’m looking to buy a watch for my mum's birthday in January and she’s seen a Tudor 1926 that she really likes. I’m not going through any airports in the coming few months any wondered if anyone had any dealers who would offer discounts.
Our local Tudor retailer is able to offer about 9% at the moment.
Cheers

I’ve got a good relationship with my local Rolex and Tudor dealer and I wasn’t offered a large discount. Less than 10% so I think if you can get 10% it’s not a bad deal.
As mentioned Burrell’s have a decent ongoing sale. Keep an eye on that. AMJ watches seem to have decent stock and even tell you whether they have BB58’s in which is unusual.

To the chaps who managed 20% I presume was this with dealers you know well? I passed on a North Flag a few months ago as the discount was only 5% and with the discontinued rumours I was hoping for a bit more. These are now quite hard to find but I’m also considering the BB41, has anyone managed a decent discount on this model?

Not for me, it was my first purchase. I would say that since the brand awareness campaigns, ambassadors and the launch of the GMT. Tudor are fast going the way of Rolex. My prediction is that now the discounts are drying up, in a few years we’ll see price rises and silly supply issues.

Earnest Jones discount code would of got me £426 off BB58 yesterday but I decided as much as I like the watch I have no need for it (doesn't offer anything over my Omega Seamaster or Tudor BB GMT)
I thought the code wasn't able to be used with Tudor similar to some of the other high end brands? Forgive my somewhat naive ignorance here. But those of you who are being offered discounts, are you just walking into an AD, chatting about said watch and asking if they'll offer you any discount on it?
I fancy a Pelagos LHD in the new year and wouldn't say no to getting some discount if I can.

Pretty much, a couple of times I've had a 10% offered in the opening conversation (I can then push from there). I fancy a Pelagos LHD in the new year and wouldn't say no to getting some discount if I can.
Or if they are a bit tougher to crack:
After building up somewhat of a rapport, I tend to go in for the discount after getting the salesperson to the point of doing anything they can to keep me in the store ("I may need to think about this, check with my wife, other stores to look in today").
Then:
"If you could do X price I'll take it right now"
I had already purchased a Nomos Tangente from the dealer before so I would like to think it helped with obtaining a discount on my Pelagos LHD back in May '19.
Made an appointment for the last day of the month at 4pm - spent a bit of time trying the watch on and having a chat. Then I made it clear I would purchase the watch on the spot if they could match the airport price and a maybe little bit more. They offered 16% initially but I asked them to round it off to 20%. They refused to budge and I then took my debit card out, stalled and then thanked them for their time and got up to leave. Sales manager then agreed to the 20% discount.

Nice tactic hah!
Failed to get any sort of discount at Harrod’s on my black bay bought a couple of weeks ago. I wonder why?
Also this has taught me the difference it makes being friends with someone at an AD. I couldn’t keep a straight face pulling that with my friend doing the sale.
On the other hand I’d be fine doing it in goldsmith’s for example.
