wifi booster samsung devices

I have an issue with 2 samsung devices which only recognise the wifi booster and not the main router.

J3 phone and Tab 3 - I know they're not particularly new devices, they're just used and abused by the kids for youtube and games

Set up is a virgin media Hub 3 with Wifi extender (power lines)

The devices find the network and connect in the wifi extender areas but at the main router they don't find the network never mind connect.

I've hard reset devices which results in the same issue.

Thoughts ???

It's the superhub (it's not super).

Configure it for modem only mode and invest in even the cheapest Router & AP device, it'll wipe the floor with the Superhub

Purchased an ASUS AC68U router, so much more reliable and faster throughout the house now.
